Thank you for our 2nd ANNUAL Fay Lake FestiFALL Chili Cook-Off. Below you will find the details for entering your chili. Please note we do welcome vegetarian and gluten free chilis though it is not a requirement.
This event is sponsored by the Port St John Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization that serves and benefits the residents and businesses
of Port St John and Brevard County.
The Chili Cook-Off will take place at the Lake View Pavilion at Fay Lake Wilderness Park on Saturday, November 7th from 12 noon1:30pm. Winners announced at 2:00pm.
There is no entry fee. The first 10 entries received will be chosen to compete. To enter download and fill out the Entry Form and return it to us by email no later than November 4thth. Chili Cook-Off entries will be able to sample other entries for free.
You will need to provide:
• Participants will supply their own power, extension cords and
10x10 tent for individual serving with appropriate distancing for safety.
• Bring 1-2 crock pots (approximately 6-12 quarts) of
ReadytoEat chili (as in hot, not cold or frozen)
• Serving utensils
• Condiments of your choice
We will provide tasting cups, utensils, napkins, beverages, and corn bread.
There will be winners for 1st Place Judges Award, and People’s Choice Award,
each with an accompanying prize and/or trophy.
1st Place Judges Award: Chef’s Culinary Knife, 1st Place Trophy, 1st Place Winner Apron and acknowledged in HAPPENINGS, on the Happenings.net and PortStJohnCommunityFoundation.com web sites.
